Bohdanna grew up in the Ukrainian community in Chicago. This work reflects her upbringing and her coming to terms with her past.
Bohdanna explored the interplay between the surface and what lies beneath with complex patterns and feminine textures.
Throughout her career, Bohdanna has frequently worked on very large surfaces and canvases. It's where Bohdanna is most comfortable.
